HEATING AND HOT WATER
I do not have allot of good pictures on this project because it needed to be done quickly. The contractor, Cozy Heating did a great job installing the boiler and the air handler. There use to be a small shed on the back of the house but I rebuilt it bigger and ran the electrical for the boiler, plugs and lights. If you are not familiar with this system it is called a radiant type system. I use the hot water to heat my home. The hot water is run through air handler( you can look at it like a radiator) which heats the forced air. I picked oil because it was the most efficient fuel for the money out there, even with these high oil prices. Last year I spent $650.00 on oil and that gave me all my heat and hot water. I never ran out of hot water even with guest and the heat on. This year it will be $800.00. I like my house at 72° all the time. My electric bills dropped to under $100.00 for every two months. Before then I would easily spend $1500.00 for just the winter months. I had forced air electric.
